Does anyone else think Arctic Monkeys looks and sounds a lot like CAST ?

Anyone remember CAST ? Was round about the same time as Travis, Ocean Colour Scene around 96/97. Was bugging me for the past week after I saw Arctic monkeys on Glasto on the telly that they look, singing style, music and feel a lot like CAST.

Absolutely nothing at all like CAST.
Cast were an offshoot of The La's and I honestly can't hear any Artic Monkeys in their tunes.
I've been listening to a lot of La's and Cast lately because we have a local band that sound like them and they'd never heard of them.
Another thing, La's and Cast were based around acoustic guitars.

Monkey's remind me of XTC for some reason.

To me they sound like The Strokes, Oasis, The Smiths and The Jam in a more aggressive twangy way.

All I think of Cast is that they are a bunch of acoustic scousers.
