I've managed to get my new Lenovo G34-10 running @ 100 Hz over HDMI and DP, but not higher.
Here's the situation:
1) Main laptop (see sig) has HDMI and USB-C. I don't seem to get anything from the USB-C, but this could be because I've flashed the vBIOS with one from another manufacturer.
According to the spec sheet, HDMI is 2.0 and the USB-C is 3.2 Gen 1 and supports DP 1.2.
2) Work laptop is a Surface Pro 6 with mini-DP.
So, on both rigs (main laptop connected via HDMI and work laptop via DisplayPort), I cannot get more than 100 Hz @ 3440 x 1440.
When I go to "Advanced Display Settings" and "List All Modes", the highest refresh rate offered is 120 Hz @ 1920 x 1080 (and 100 Hz @ 3440 x 1440)
I've installed the monitor drivers (on the main laptop - I can't install anything on the work laptop), but it made no difference.
The DP cable from the work laptop is 1.4 spec (assuming that there is actually a specification for cables - from what I've read, all cables are the same and the whole version thing only applies to the output and inport ports, not the cable?).
On the monitor side, it supports HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4 and I've set the monitor itself to DP 1.4.
Any other ideas?
I'm thinking that neither laptop can handle 3440 x 1440 @ 144 Hz for some reason?
