Does anyone have a PC Engine?

Ive had a real hankering lately to buy a pc engine, does anyone own one, and could tell me what is the best to go for, pc engine, turbo graphix? What are the connections for it, and any idea of what cost it would be without getting ripped off, I see a TG on ebay for £100 delivered, boxed.

I remember buying a magazine years ago and was so turned on to the screen shots of vigilante on the pc engine, i need to get one now, its a thirst that wont go away.

I keep an eye on ebay for a white one or a handheld GT, fancy a bit of near arcade perfect Chase HQ and some splatterhouse.

I dont know if the black ones are any different from the white ones, maybe someone here does? core grafx, turbo grafx confusing to me.

They don't know they're born!!

My friend had one in the early '90s. Unfortunately, his mum threw it away a few years ago as it had been sitting in the loft doing nothing for a long while. I don't think he's quite forgiven her yet.

Hi,

My favourite console of all time. I had the original white PC Engine, The Turbo Express Handheld and the cd rom add on for my white pc engine at different points back in the day lol and me and my mate even bought a supergrafx plays all pcengine and about 7 Suprgrafx only games (Enhanced version with basically 2 pc engines in one unit).

The Japanese one is the one to get as it had the biggest catalogue of games and try and find one with a scart Modification these give the best picture. The core grfx turbo etc i think were just rehashes where they changed the design and maybe connectors? but pretty sure the internals were the same the only one that was different was the supergrafx.....You can get an adapter that lets you run USA games on the japanese one and vice versa. If you have the cash and want the best get the cd-rom add on or a pcengine duo (pcengine with built in cd-rom drive) and lords of thunder and gates of thunder both totally and utterly amazing shoot em ups

The PC-Engine was graced with some of the greatest shoot em ups of all time.......
