Thinking about buying a DVD Recorder. I have found two DVD recorders that I like. Does anyone have either of these Philps machines? ARe they any good?

Philips DVDR3305 DVD Recorder

Philips DVDR3300H/05

Please take my advice -

I had a Philips 880 which cost me £480.
I had a Philips 890 which cost me £270 about 9 months later.
The 880 got replaced with a Philips 70 in the guarantee.
The 890 got replaced with a Philips 75 in the guarantee.
Both Philips machines were sent down to the incinerator over a year ago.
I'm now the proud owner of two Pioneer DVR530H's and hope to have a Pioneer DVR540H soon.
If you don't want HD capabilities look at the Panasonics.
Stay away from Philips.

Does anyone have the Sony RDR GX120?

No, but ive got an RDR GX300 and its still ace.

I stay away from sony tellys as they suck but i think they make great dvd players.

I have the Philips 75 dvd recorder. I've had it for a year or two now. No problems with what so ever, very easy to use.

At one point Richer Sounds were instructed by Philips that if anybody bought one of their recorders back they were to immediately swop it for a new model.
