Do you see a big difference between the professional gpu compared to say a gtx?

Are they worth the money?

When I'm working I seem to think having a far more powerful processor works best. Renders are completed faster for example.

It really depends what software you are using or whether you need certain features that they have that gtx cards dont. tbh in most things the gtx card is miles faster in raw gpu hp cases. anything that requires a large amount of vram, extra precision or others special features. If you are rendering frames for a video or a game a gaming card will be better 99% of the time, because they are cheaper, higher clocked normally have better cooler which can help boost clock.
