Looking to get back into watersports (water activities) before the summer ends tomorrow.....;)

I used to, years ago, Kayak and remember most of the basics. I'm looking for something suitable for my height and weight (6ft3 and 15stone), and suitable for class 2 and sea touring.

I was thinking something along the lines of the BIC 150 Adventure

but am unsure as to the comfort. Happy to hear alternatives :)

Where are you based?
I'm not sure how much that Bic costs, but you could look at Liquid Logic Mist/Marvel/Inuit, Perception Carolina, Dagger Blackwater(Maybe?), Pyranha Fusion... and probably some others too.

Learn to roll :)

I own a Perception Scooter (sit on top) Use it on Rivers, Lakes and around the coast in North Wales. It is great fun in the surf. Next year I will probably look at getting a sea / touring kayak for longer distance adventures.

The amount of wildlife you get to see from a Kayak is amazing, although seals get a bit boisterous sometimes

Yep, been rolling for a few years prior to the lapse :) The Dagger Blackwater was also on my list. I'm south coast, so would like to frequent old harry rocks and the Jurassic coastline :)

ive had a FeelFree Corona sit on top for about 4 years brillant boat, i have used it for rivers, lakes and sea both for fishing and for a paddle.

it is a big old boat though just over 4m and can carry 300kg. Its a 3 man boat but if you sit in the middle seat it acts as a very large 1 man boat which is very nice for fishing/surf.

normal layout for mile out sea fishing is:

2 x 17stone kayakers
fishing gear
1 x 50lbs thrust outboard and car battery:cool: (good for trolling )

Started paddling at lee valley and having a great time. Im on level 4 now which is working from the top of the legacy. Will be getting my own boat in a month or two :)

Used to a bit when younger, good fun, life got in way though, was at comp that some people were taking part in a couple of weeks ago, brought back all the memories I was wanting to give it a try again.

I passed my legacy course at lee valley over the weekend so I'm looking to enjoy my time on there before i step it up to the olympic and real rivers. Anyone else paddle there?
