Hi,

My phone has GPS on it so you can save locations but the format of the coordinates seems to be different to that used by Google Maps. Does anyone know how to either convert between the two or to make Google Maps accept the format my phone uses? When I try and put the coordinates into Google Maps, it just says that it can't understand the location.

I'll give an example of one of the locations I am trying to look up:

Display: dms
Lat +37.47.10.17
Lon +139.19.11.09
GEOD Sys: WGS-84

I have no idea what that stuff means, it's just what my phone says. I did try and google this but I didn't really get anywhere so thanks in advance if anyone can help.

your in japan?

to enter in google maps you put

+ 37 47 10.17 + 139 19 11.09

deg,min/seconds

conversion to ordance survey system will still put you within 500m of that co-ordinate

Yep, Japan is correct. Thanks for the help, that seems to have worked and the location looked about right.
