Does anyone know what HMV pay?

I know this is a little random but i need to get out of my job soon as its making me ill. I noticed HMV in town have a couple of positions going and just as a stress free job im going to apply to tide me over. Just curious of what sort of pay I can expect?
 
Probably sort of £5-6/hr sort of wage, with these sorts of jobs it tends to depend on age which is very annoying. For me (17) it'd probably be around £5/hr.

Actually for you it would be £0.00/ hour

The have a policy of only employing over 18s

Even worse! :mad: There's no valid reason behind that tbh - I'm just as good an employee in my current job (In fact I'm better) than the rest of the far older staff. OHH NOOOOOOOOOO you're young so you get paid TUPPENCE :(

Ahh the careers guru ;)

I just need a relatively stress free job - its not a career move. My current employers are a waste of oxygen and I need to move away from them sharpish. Ideally into a nice career, but i don't think that'll happen :(

No valid reason for the difference in pay or for HMV not employing under 18s?

The first I agree the second has a very valid reason

Surely its because they sell 18 certificate products?
 
I understand that most under 18's aren't the sort of people you want in the workplace but there obviously are exceptions. I suppose it's just where the line is drawn.

I'm on 6.15p/h with my current employer (electrical retailer) but I get things like SEM and performance bonuses each month too. I generally take home approx 1k.

I need to be getting at least 850-900 quid take home as a minimum. I just have to leave my job - its got to that point finally.

EDIT - Got rushed to hospital saturday with chest pains. Have been getting phonecalls telling me i need to be at work and that i have nothing to worry about! Just what you need when you are having anxiety pains :mad:

I worked at HMV last year as a Christmas temp. Had a really good time, the team rocks. The 30% discount ain't bad either! ;)
