does anyone play final fantasy xi?

the ultimate collection is on steam for a fiver at the moment and i wanted to know if its worth getting?

i have played quite a lot of mmo's but i keep going back to wow
aion was too much of a grind, warhammer just felt like a wow clone that lacked something, age of conan was full of bugs and huge bland areas

i liked lord of the rings but only played the trial as wotlk was released around the time i tried it

do you think there is anything that would stop me playing ffxi?

Dunno why but i loved Warhammer, the public quests on a full server can be amazingly fun.
Few week after the free trial when it died down it just became empty though.

I tried FFIX a while back and..

-It runs like crap
-looks terrible
-Controls are horrible.
-Seems very bland and dull.

Most MMO's i give a chance and play a fair bit atleast, but this was just awful imo.
Gotta remember this game came out early 2004 aswell
