Does anyone take requests?

Sometime in the future (my next build) I would like some really nice custom case, but I do not have the tools or knowledge to build what I would want on my own.

I hope this isnt against the rules but does anyone here take requests and would be willing to build a case to someone liking?

If so how much roughly would someone charge for this?

Thanks

I believe this will get locked as a business request?

As a tip for any adverts elsewhere though, it would be useful to detail a bit more about what you're after - airbrushing, watercooling mod, small form factor build, etc.

Maybe instead of getting someone else to do the mods for you, maybe use the forums for advice and learn how to do it your self ?

there are a few places that will mod your case for you, google is your friend but i hope you have a big wallet :)

im looking at having a case made and its coming to around the £600 mark after shipping etc
So a lot of saving or a really big wallet is needed =)

I would echo the thoughts above re having a go at learning the skills. most of the modders on this forum mod for the sake of modding itself. by that i mean that the greater part of the enjoyment derives not so much from owning the end product, although there is a real pride to be gained from knowing you built it etc, but from the challange and enjoyment of the mod itself, in actually undertaking the work, bringing the parts together, thinking through the project planning the activity and then having to solve the problems that are encountered on the way. in essence the joy of creating.

If you're not feeling confident, check out project car boot. It's a project I undertook in order to learn the skills, working with cheap and second hand parts so tha my misakes (and boy were there mistakes) would not prove expensive. I'm not pointing you mod to show you what I've done, but to show you what you can can do. As I also had no skills what so ever when I started it and wouldn't pertain to have that many now when compared to some of the excellent modders on this forum.

accept that you won't have your system the way you want it in an afternoon and modding is really rewarding when you know you essentially have a bespoke system.

take a look at my log, it's my first real mod. I had never cut steel before but was sensible and took my time, turned out fine in the end:)

up to you though...

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

At the moment I have a bit of a health condition (long story short i am on the waiting list for some organs) - so this kinda restricts me from doing this kind of job (at the moment anyway) It is definately something I will be looking into when I recover.

3t3P and G-Dubs thank you for both your replies, I followed both your build logs and they were all very enjoyable to read. :)

I would not be looking for water cooling as the system I have runs fine now, I don't stress it much.

Thanks again

crazy things are going on here bye bye wallet thats all i can say i tried to make my own case but i just didn't have the money, but if you do get a custom one i think it will be good :)

Do it yourself mate, thats the whole fun in it. I'd personally buy all the tools and mod myself and then can do in the future too. Don't be ripped off! Once you start a project you'll be onto the next after that so the tools would be a good investment ;)
