Does anyone use a touchscreen or shall I get a normal monitor?

Hello,

Currently using a 40" Samsung L.E.D TV in one of the upstairs bedrooms as my monitor but its a little too big really to sit 2 foot away from so once my new desk comes I'd like to treat myself to a new monitor.

I don't need anything too fancy spec wise as I'm not a pro gamer by a long shot.

Would one of these touch screen monitors with Windows 8 be a gimmick or are they genuinely worth while having?

Looking at spending around £200 and would like something around 20 - 24".

Whats a good buy at the moment?

Cheers
Mark

Touch screen is really a novelty in desktop monitors. You'll have to sit forward to touch it and it gets awkward and then the novelty wears off. Plus if I'm not mistaken, They're still stupidly expensive.
