such as http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-031-AK when using 2 x 120mm fans in push/pull config on their cpu cooler?

I'm planning to use 2 pwm controlled fans for push/pull on a corsair h50 but my MB only has one pwm fan header so I was planning on using this splitter...can anyone tell me if they have used a similar set up and if so did they experience any problems or did things go smoothly? How does the MB report the fan speed when there are 2 fans running from the same fan header?

This is my first post by the way...please be gentle with me ;)

I use the Arctic Cooling 12025PWM fans which have built-in splitters and they work fine. AC say you can hand 5 fans off the CPU fan header, but I've had as many as 10 running for long periods with no issues. You need to check the CPU fan header output value (usually 18W) against the power draw of the fans. Then you can start daisy-chaining.

I use 1 of those splitters to run 3 sharkoon silent eagle se pwm fans, 2 on a TRUE and a rear case fan, the only issue i had was due to the lowest speed seting of the fans being 400 rpm, i get a no cpu fan detection on boot, press F1 to resume, i simply switched of the fan warning in bios, speed for all 3 fans shows up in asus ai suite which i use to monitor/configure speeds under "cpu fan speed". The arctic cooling fans that WJA96 mentions are also superb pwm fans, i used 2 of theese a while back in a push/pull setup, if your gonna run 2 of them they will be fine on any quality modern motherboard.

Arctic 12025's on TRUE black.
