Does brand effect Crossfire performance/scaling much?

Hey all, just a quick question and probably a daft one about Crossfire.

Does what brand you have effect the performance/scaling of crossfire much? If you want specifics I'm looking at getting either 2 x Sapphire 'Dual-Fan' 6950 or 2 x MSI 6950 Twin-Frozr III.

Obviously I know the MSI is OC'd by default, but hypothetically if they were the same clock speeds would one outdo the other?

I think they clock at the lowest card's speed.... so oc'em both

It doesnt matter if mix and match brands... just dont mix and match series... 5870 wont work with a 6970.

slade right. The core clock will be determined by the lowest clocked card and brands don't really matter as they come from the same manufacturer anyway.
