Does Cat C/D/S/N always show in V5

As per title. Looking to buy from a private seller and a bit wary of sellers choosing ebay rather than autotrader.

It's not listed as a write off but you know how ebay is

So if this is something that can be easily verified in the V5 (will ask for a photo of it) I don't need to proceed to do a HPI check if it is a write off

Apparently it's cat N after I did an online check. Can't trust anything the seller says now about what the damage was as he withheld this info.

Will have to check if insurance will be the same if they cover it.

That's what I did and it flagged up. Probably the reason why the seller did not list it there
