i use msi for any graphics card ive had if overclocking is available, but never had a card like my gtx 560sc 1gb i currently have that has more than just core and memory clock and while ive done a small overclock i am wondering if touching the volt slider will do any justice?

Test it man.

Add volts for stability when your OC becomes unstable. Adding volts can help you clock higher.

If you want to push your overclock higher you'll eventually need to add more voltage to keep it stable like 8 pack says.

With GPUs more voltage can sometimes require a decrease in temperatures before its effective for increased stable clock speeds.

Fermi tended to respond quite well to voltage though IIRC when playing with a spare 470 it was hitting 900MHz at 1.2v (not recommended for every day use) before additional cooling was needed to get higher clock speeds. (Might have the voltage wrong as it was awhile ago - think I was using 1.1v @ 850MHz for every day use on my SLI setup by the time I swapped it out).
