Does crysis run better than the demo?

All those people that say.

"It's only the MP Beta"
"It's only the Beta"
"It's only the demo, retail will have more"

Shut your filthy mouth holes! :p
No extra support, SLi still doesn't work worth a damn.

^indeed, as I've stated in the past it is very rare in any game that we see significant performance gains between public beta and retail release stages.

Orly?

I seem to remember that the retail release of Test Drive Unlimited managed to run a bit slower than the beta. :D

Be interesting to see what improvements the first patch provides
(Promised 7-14 days after release)

Retail is said to run the same, but Cevat and Roy Taylor (nVidia) have both said patches and drivers will improve performance, as theyre seeing better performance with each driver drop.

The transcript of the conversation can be found at www.incrysis.com

lol. Then they patched it (after delaying the patch for months) and it got even worse :D

On the positive side, I found the GRAW2 demo was significantly optimised from the beta. And the Crysis beta did run quite a lot slower for me I believe. It would stutter quite a lot on all medium due to debug code / settings

(The demo is a different teapot of crabs though)

I've found it run slightly worse to be honest

With the demo with everything set to High I was getting a steady 20 fps yet with the full game highest I can get is 18 and sometimes as low as 7

I'm still gutted about quad support :/

Cevat always droned on about how much of an improvement there would be with quad - no he just says..."Oh you need a good GPU to make use.."

Wtf :/

I'm noticing less FPS, I used to have all details on high bar terrain detail and with my rig, that averaged 40fps with AA on 2x.

Now, with all details on medium and 0 AA I average 40 fps :/

tbh i think i will enjoy playing it more if it actually runs the way i want.
I find it very frustrating having to tweak the graphic settings etc on pretty much every level.
Think i might just leave it until the new cards are released. I can't enjoy a game without it running nicely.

It ran okay on my elderly system (low detail, naturally) but now that I'm in the zero mavity bit it is so jerky it is practically impossible to hit anything intentionally :s

Looks like I do need that upgrade after all...
