I build my new PC yesterday and i've just spent all day trying to get the thing to work.

It works fine until after the parachute drop, then as soon as I crouch through the gap it freezes, and I have to ctr+alt+delete.

Its an i5 760 with a GTX 460.

Anyone using similar specs that have it working on Win7?

Thanks

Your problem is nothing to do with W7, unless there is a whole bunch of people it hasn't worked for that I just don't know about. Works for me no issues.

I don't know what it is, but it isn't that.

Couldn't get it going on mine. Black screen if I run normally, crashes on exit and stutters in game when I ran in xp compatibility mode. I just gave up on it (although I didn't really try too hard to sort it, couldn't be bothered).

No issues here either - I'm on W7 64bit on AMD 965 and HD5850.

If you're playing the 64bit version, try the 32bit executable - the 64bit version is a bit buggy IIRC.

Looking at peoples sigs and what they have stated, it seems they are all using Radeon GFXs and you have an Nvidia. Maybe its the lately Nvidia drivers being an issue? Just an idea?

Mine works but it is the Steam version so will be updated. Is there a recent patch for it?

WinQuake works with Windows 7 HP 64 :)

I played Warhead through on Win 7 (steam version). I seem to remember there was a 64bit executable for the original Crysis which was a bit naff, are you using that?

Are you using a new or old HD?

I had problems installing on my new setup as some of the files were still lurking on my HD. Was having a few lockups as well. Worked fine after my third install.

I had the same problem, but on the last level.
Right Click on Crysis icon and - run as a Windows XP program in direct X 9 mode and I think that will work.

Have you installed any graphics mod?, I was crashing at that same point with a graphics mod I put it, I used another one instead and was fine. Can't remember what mods though :(
