Does DDR2 memory work on a 1366 chipset mobo?

As thread title suggests, I wondered if its possible to use DDR2 6400 memory (2x2gb sticks) on one of the new 1366 mobos.

I realise you wouldn't get tri-channel etc, but am hoping I can upgrade in stages rather than the whole mobo/cpu/ram expense!

Nope; it's not even as if you can buy combo slot motherboards either with a special chip on them - with the i3, i5 and i7 CPUs the memory controller resides in the CPU itself.

Yeah - bit of a pain really isn't it! RAM adds a big amount to the overall upgrade.
