Does DDR3 motherboards work with DDR2 ram

A few Gigabyte boards have slots for both, as do some from Asus.

DDR3 isn't worth it just yet as it's still overpriced for what you get. It'll be another year or more, methinks, before DDR3 catches up in the value department.

basically i dont like my striker, and im going to rma mine cos its broken, and sell the new one on the bay, thinking in that case of an Asus P5Q?

Is there any good alternatives to the Asus P5Q, because im starting to go off asus.

Nehalem looks like it will force DDR3 on us anyway - the onboard memory controller will make sure of that.

But unless you're really after a stupid overclock and have money to burn, i'd steer clear of DDR3. :)
