Does EAX 5 work with Vista? using X-Fi series?

Just curious as I'm using Windows XP.

As per topic, Does EAX 5 work with Vista via alchemy? for Gaming?

Would I be better off just buying Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition SP2c ?

Does the old Creative X-Fi - Fatal1ty (PCI) work just as good as the new Creative X-Fi Titanium - Fatal1ty (PCI-E) card with drivers in XP & Vista?

EAX5 should work fine through OpenAL, the big thing with Vista was the removal of DirectSound which previous versions of EAX relied on, hence the need for Alchemy to emulate it.

I'd go with Vista (well, I did with my Xtreme Music and no problems)
