If it does would the Q8200 be an upgrade from my crap E6600?
I have googled for info but nothings coming up.

Would be a slight upgrade if your using stock speeds of both, very small upgrade if there overclocked.

Go for the Q6600 and clock it to 3.2Ghz or go for the Q9xxx series

Yes it does take advantage of quads

I also believe it does. Overall it is a very cpu orientated game so a high clocking Intel should do the job in general.

Well having a look at the Q9550 and its £270. Why are all of ocuk competitors cheaper?

Becuase they have old stock from before the £ became worth not a lot :p

When they come to restock they will find thier replacement cost has gone up and will have to put thier sell price up.

because it costs soo much to provided this forum that we all use soo much! :D

i think a lot of suppilers are having a hard time at the minute i find OCUK are competitive on a lot of things normaly overall if i buy a few things but of the one off thing they arnt always.

I posted a piccie on a thread a while ago, showed 100% usage on all four cores on my Q6600!

agreed with the others... where did the term crap come from with an e6600? i mean what do u want from your cpu ... what tasks are u performing. e6600 is a fine chip and happy top sit at 3.2ghz
