Does G-Sync work through a DisplayPort Switch

Well I'm fed up with monitors that have G-Sync only having one Displayport input, I don't see why that is the case, G-Sync doesn't have to be on with other inputs like DVI and HDMI if it had them so I don't get it.

Anyway, with that issue in mind does anyone know if G-Sync still works ok through a DisplayPort switch to get around the problem? I'd assume so if it's the same DisplayPort version but thought I'd ask just in case there is some issue I'm not aware of.

Thanks.

I don't see why that is the case
G-Sync uses a dedicated panel driving module. To add other inputs would, for now, mean adding an extra display controller. Switching a panel between two different display controllers is a tricky problem, and not something you can just go out and buy an off-the-shelf solution to.

I believe it's unlikely a switch will work with GSYNC. Most KVMs or display switches emulate a monitor so that the connected device believes the monitor is there even when the other device is active.

There is currently a single Gsync monitor that has multiple inputs, apparently this uses two different display controllers that can be switched between via the OSD. The monitor can be found here and a review can be found here.
