Hi all,

My wonderful girlfriend bought me an Xbox 360 for Christmas with Fifa 09 and Halo 3.

I was looking on the back of the Halo 3 box and saw that it said that the TV must be able to run at 60Hz.

Now, Im thinking of buying a new TV soon and was wondering, If I want to play Halo 3, does this stop me from getting a 100Hz tv?

I watch a lot of sport (football mostly) and movies and feel that this would be better suited to a 100Hz tv.

Guys, help me out here and tell me that everythings going to be ok.

Cheers,

Edward

Don't know much about tvs but I would have thought a 100Hz telly wouldm be capable of displaying anything less than 100Hz as well. :)

Halo runs very well on 100Hz tvs. Helps smooth things no end on my Samsung.

All TV is 50Hz (PAL) in this country, the problem arises when you have an old TV that cannot run 60Hz (NTSC format) -these are proper old tvs though.

Halo seems to be slighty jerky compared to games running 60 fps like cod. Using 100 hz mode adds frames between 'proper' frames, this gives a much smoother image
