Your FPS goes up with 2 monitors connected?

Something wrong there. although would bet it is the GPU entering a lower power state with 1 monitor and not waking correctly for benchmark (lots of posts ref the opposite with 2 monitors the GPU power usage at idle is vastly more etc)

Could be. I had CF 5850s and found my FPS would drop if I used the second HDMI connection on my 1st card to carry sound to by Yamaha AV unit for surround sound.

For benchmarking single monitor performance you really need multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration set to single display performance mode and power management on prefer maximum performance (or adaptive usually works) optimal doesn't represent single display performance well.

updated with results +

Running 2nd monitor on GTX1060 Causes this maybe related to GSYNC on both maybe?

IIRC its a problem with G-Sync where a window is overlapping both displays? even if its just a pixel from one window to the other.

ill retest soon though with 2 minimized windows

edit even a small window on 1 screen causes this
