Hi guys, just restarting my R3E project, and was wondering does mounting a XSPC Bay Reservoir/Pump high up in the case or lower down in the case make it any different to the working of the loop? which is better or it make no different as all? any advices will be very grateful, thank guys

Makes no difference to the performance of the loop, only factor will be where your rads are in relation to it as you may need to tilt the case about to bleed the air out of the rads etc. The best position for the res depends on where you rads are etc and where in inlet/outlets are on the res. By and large with that type of bayres/pump combo you won't have a problem wherever you put it as you can fully tilt the case backwards and still have the pump inlet submerged, i.e. you will want your rad fittings to be towards the front of the case to benefit from this, this is only relevant if you have a roof mounted rad, otherwise it doesn't matter.

I don't think it matters too much. I have a triple rad in the roof which is higher than my XSPC Bay Reservoir/Pump. The only problem is filling. Just keep tipping the unit back ensuring the loop is filling. Make sure the loop is full when testing and before switching to a powered system. I have about a 5mm gap at the top of the bay res just for expansion. This water line won't move if switched on and filled correctly. If it drops, the pump is filling voids i.e. the rad.

Its preferable but not essential to have the res at the highest point in the loop if possible, makes bleeding much easier as air will naturally want to collect at the highest point.

thank for the reply guys, i was going to mount it lower down in the case, hasn't sorted out where the rads go yet (forgot to say its a 2 loops system), but the TJ07 i got had been modded so i can mount 1 of the rad on the roof, but atm im hoping to mount 2 rads at the bottom of the TJ07, if i can't then i will have to mount 1 rad on the roof.

Thank again for the advices guys
