Does install location still matter?.

A lot of games, apps etc still try and install in default location program files (x86). I always change to say C/Steam etc. Does it make a difference installing recent games in x86 folder?.

It doesn’t matter on the location of the install, however if there’s updates on applications it may prompt you for the default install location on updates etc.

Game software goes on my g:\ SSD and not had any problems with anything not working correctly in the last 4 years.
