Even if according to Intel, 8th series chipsets aren't backwards compatible they are testing a H310 board, with both 8700K & 7700K using DDR3 (yes 3) RAM the board supports. (it also supports 6x00 series).
And apparently there is a newer revision of this H310 board, which is supporting 9X00 series also.
