Hi folks,

Gonna order this for myself, I'm no professional so I'm not sure if it will all fit together but as far as I know it does, my only concern is the mobo.

EVGA GeForce GTX 560TI Dual Shock Superclocked 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (01G-P3-1567-KR)

Intel Core i5-2550K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail

OCZ ZS Series 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

MSI H61M-E33 Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard **B3 REVISION**

Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX)

Cooler Master Elite 430 Windowed Case - Black

Total : £572.95

I already have a 500gb HDD SATA II and DvD ROM, so I only wanted to know if this will all go smoothly. I wasn't planning on overclocking.

If anyone has any suggestions I would like to hear, but I am sticking around this price range.

Thanks guys,

Dan :)

Definitely a poor motherboard choice. Go for a P67 or z68 if you can. The H motherboards will not allow you to overclock your 'K' chip. Even if you dont want to overclock now, it's pointless getting a K series Intel unless you're going to get a motherboard that will use it to its full potential.

Hi there,

It will all fit together fine, though I would suggest a couple of changes:

- Go for the i5 2500K instead of the 2550K - the 2550K is the same chip as the 2500K, but slightly more expensive, a tiny clockspeed bump and the graphics core disabled. Since the graphics core is useful as a backup then the 2500K is worth going for.

- I would also strongly recommend you go for an overclocking-capable motherboard. I realise you say you aren't planning on overclocking, but in months/years you may change your mind (since these CPUs can happily hit ~4.5GHz with little effort) and the H61 boards are not able to overclock. Instead, if you get a £80 Z68 board like this one then you will have the option, as well as more PCIE/PCI ports.

Also, if you are going to spend ~£190 on a graphics card, then I would strongly recommend you go for a HD 7850 2GB

OK, thanks for the feedback, I've swapped out for the 2500k, but a m a bit confused about the 7850 GPU's, do I get the Sapphire, PowerColor, or the MSI ones? Their specs are all the same but I thought you guys might know better.

One more concern; will it all fit in the case? And is the case any good? Its mixed reviiews on OCUK.

the coolers on the sapphire and msi are better than the powercolor, the msi has 3 years warranty against the 2 with saphire.

Yes it will fit in the case. I've built a PC in that case and for the price it's quite decent :)
