Does it matter which card is first in crossfire?

Retarded question but could I notice a FPS increase if I swop my cards around? With the fact not everything is made equally is there a chance I could get some more FPS swopping the cards over ? Both cards are the same.

Like I said a retarded question but I have to ask :) Thanks

huh odd.....

maybe your seeing things lol it shouldn't make a differnces not uless one card is clocking a little harder :P

Nope. Even if you overclocked one higher than the other, Crossfire mode should automatically downclock it to match the slower one.

If you are not overclocking anything and you really are curious to know if swapping will make a difference then just try it out. At best, the difference you see will be well within the margin of error.

I noticed this .....

My mobo is the gigabyte x48-dq6

If i put the monitor lead from the top card as you look at the side of the case, my score in vantage is slightly less than if i run the monitor off the lower card

Weird ehh lol, and so i run off the lower card
