Hey all a bit of a newb to this,
I have got a 1gb stick of ram and I'm looking to buy a 2gb stick of ram and put it in the 2nd slot? would this work? and would I still be able to get dual channel memory

needs to be same size, and speed doesnt really matter, as the motherboard will run it at the slowest.

Thank you very much, but they do they have to be the same size to run normally (excluding dual channel)
