Hello all
please excuse my lack of knowledge when it comes to networks and stuff.

Am I able to share my wired Internet connection via a wireless dongle to my iPhone?

Buy dongle plug it in, configure, share my connection, connect via iPhone

Or does it not work like that

thats what it was designed to do

It would be easier with a wireless router... but you can create an ad hoc network using the wireless dongle and use ICS to share internet access - or you could try a bridge but that might lead to more problems.
