With my system idle, KAS identified a Trogan.Dropper.Win32.Genome.fhe file and did a disenfectant job on it followed by a re-book and a full virus check.
Now the file it identifed was kjim.kdl.a664805ecv7ca14d30ff6fd35d which was stored in: Application Data/Kaspersky Lab/AVP12/Bases/Cache - There own file?
There is a similarly named file (kjim.kdl etc) in the same directory with today's date. A right click and scan with KAS shows all clear.
So, was this one of their old files which is now considered a threat? I wasn't downloading anything at the time, so why didn't KAS identify it when it originally came onto the computer? I'm not sure of the date of the suspect file because it's been nuked! I've had KAS on my computer for about 120 days.
Anyone got any ideas on this one? Thanx
