Does Lotro Still have a good player base?

Ive had this game since not long after its release, and i played it for a couple of months.

I kinda miss how pretty it was and im tempted to give it another go.

Has there been any good changes on it, and are plenty of people still playing?
 
Hey,

Obviously cant speak for all the servers but yeh are still loads of people playing, all the towns are always busy.

Err depends when you last played was. We got a new area (forochl and Ice area up north) in BK13, lvl 45 - 50 and some other changes. The latest patch, bk 14, has some minor changes but is basically gearing up for the add on (Mines of Moria) when it comes out next month.

Overall definatly still worth playing, servers still busy, and will be more so with MoM coming out soon, oh and unlike WoW almost everyone is friendly :P
 
Yeah it was pretty busy when i was on recently. The mines of moria expansion is out soon too. As well as several new areas which have been added since the start of the game, player houses, etc
 
Well i just checked the account, the last time i played was July last year :)

Im tempted to resub for a month to see how it is, i never really got majorly deep into it last time, but it was a pretty fun game non the less.

Id never done an instance in a group on it before, so i wouldnt mind seeing what thats like.
 
wow, what lvl are you? sounds like you've missed out on some of the most fun parts of the game. would definatly recomand re-playing then, maybe join a kin so you always got ppl to help you with instances
 
I've been tempted to pick this up just because it looks like it would be fantastic to explore (A huge plus for me, I can just wander for hours). I didn't like exploring in the WoW trial, found everything too flat and boring. I'm just wondering, is it as fun to explore as the screens let on?
 
still the best MMo out there at the moment, player base on Snowy and Laurelin is very high and with Mines of Moria around the cornor you can expect it to get even busier ..

btw Laurelin Moors is the place to be ...

Anyone up for joining me for a fresh start? would be good to level with a chum :)
 
ah nevermind, worked it out.

got craploads of downloading to do. this is gonna take forever on my slow connection lol :(
