seriously guys, someone tell me, does my silver impreza sport have a target on it anywhere?

Because in just a year, I've had someone hit my car from behind (Nov 05), I've had someone reverse into the front of it (Dec 05), I've had someone key it, in Summer 06 it was broken into, damaging my door, drivers side handle, grill and ego. AND NOW, today it's been reversed into the side, and I need a whole new drivers door. Will need the whole side and new door respraying to match, new door £300 - paint and door seals etc £200 - car for 5 days whilst it's repaired £125 - labour to remove door, refit window etc £390.
Totalish inc VAT is £1300 !!!!

Thank god I was in the car when it happened..

But seriously though, wtf ?! :(

EDIT - I lol'd when I saw the xmas smiley hehe

I see no target in this pic...is it on the other side? :)

Seriously though, bad luck, sorry. :(

I had a bad car year last year...sucks

 I didn't know it had been keyed Scooby. That sucks mate :(

But then, it's a smart looking Subaru. These things are just commonplace nowadays.

That sucks about the damage today. I parked up in the local Tesco carpark tonight to go and do a bit of Christmas shopping. Now I absolutely hate parking my car in public carparks (it's managed to pick up a few dents and scratches recently... all of which have happened whilst it's been parked at work  ).

Tonight, I walked away from the car and a Fiesta went and parked next to it. I walked across the carpark to watch the guy getting out of the car in case he hit it with his door.

OTT yes, but you can never be too careful these days.

Any pics of the door?

not got any pics as of yet, i'll take some tomorrow me thinks. It's way too dark and cold at the mo :(
thing that's annoying me the most about it, is the wind noise, but hopefully it'll be sorted sometime soon. Seriously though, the only thing that hasn't had a respray/fix on my car since I've had it, is the roof and the bonnet.
I wouldn't be as gutted if I'd done the damage myself, the worst i've done is get bird poo on it haha.

should you really be parking that close to a junction and half on the pavement?

that wont help you being a target :p

Are you claiming off the other persons insurance? What did they say? Was it a woman?

Guy, spoke to him tonight, he expected like £300 and was going to pay cash lol. He's going to ring me in the morning with a decision. I should think it will be an insurance jobby tho.
Will be using the place who did my last insurance job for me when the person went into the back of me

hehe I was just parked there for a mo whilst getting something from a friends, it looked nice so I took me a pic ^_^

Maybe if you painted a big shiney target on it, people would be able to see it better and avoid it... maybe

Looks like a smart car, I thought you had stickers on it for some reason. Obviously anything nice looking is a target especially a scoobie.

You dont normally park oppisite a junction then

No no haha. When it got hit at the front it was in a works car park, when hit from behind I was in traffic. Then this time I was in a driveway lol.

Ouch - sore one

Me-thinks your needing to purchase a garage matey. Or at the very least rent a lock-up in order to secure your car at night.

Had some idiot trying to break into my wife's 8year old Ford Escort not so long back, completely wrecked the lock and scratched hell outta the door. But they left my Mk1 MR2 alone (parked next to it) - possibly cos of the scanner in the window.

Sometime's i find a visual deterrent is better than thousands spent on a fancy alarm system. ;)

Opinions ?
