Quick question on SSDs if I may?

Do they need to be screwed into the bottom of the case ie in a stable place, or can they be ok just dangling in a mass of cables?

Note the PC wont probably move much if at all.

I only ask as mine was screwed into the foot of the case but I had to power cycle it, so the easiest way was to unscrew/do the data cable thing and then plug back in. Now its working and is just hanging about in the case, but im thinking if it was screwed in, there must be a reason.... health/performance wise?

If the answer is that its just neater, then ill let it hang there in the cables

Mine just sits on the bottom of the case under the hard drives. The caddies seem like a lot of faff for something that has no moving parts.

My 128GB M4 has just been throwed in this gap for the last 18months....;)
