Does no one talk these days on teams

Hi,

Noticed recently, playing warzone on ps5. No one really seems to talk and work together.

I recall years ago when I gamed on pc's. Cant recall games but maybe battlefield etc. Everyone worked and talked in squads and teams to get job done.

Is that the norm these days on consoles
 
Been on consoles since ~2006, and it's always been like that, mainly on PS and Xbox users were a bit more keen to talk trash
 
I just mute everyone because it's just trash noise on console. On PC we'd only talk if we're in the same clan or group. I wouldn't talk on a public server even on PC.
 
No team effort just means you should just quit playing team games. You can't play team games without communication backing up your team mates.

It happens in cnc red alert / yuri revenge as well. Usually when you get people in-game who can't understand you because they can't speak another language and vice versa.

I disagree, not all team games are a complete loss with a lack of comms. Hell Let Loose for example, is 100 times better with comms, but perfectly playable without - I've been a silent squad member and squad leader, and was still able to contribute to the overall team's success.
 
Sometimes there is people in squads talking. But as someone else mentioned, if they are not speaking your particular language, not easy.

Just does make team play a bit better.
 
Sometimes (PC Warzone here) you get the whole team, sometimes just two, sometimes nothing, communicating absolutely helps get the job done though and makes everyone a little less mercenary.
 
I think its the norm now if your randomly being teamed up but if your in a ranked game, there are a few that talk in game or ask you if your using team speak etc.
