or does it just not cover the part.

Im only 18 and declaring modifications would give quinn direct a field day of raping me of my pennies :(

So what happens for example if i crash and my car gets towed somewhere, does some inspector from the insurance company come round to inspect my car and looks under the bonnet?

Why would anyone encourage somebody to commit insurance fraud? Not declaring modifications to the car, and yes cosmetic ones can sometimes count, is fraud. Plain and simple.

You can go to jail for that. Also once you get out of jail you'll find that you will be pursued for the 3rd party losses to the insurance company.

If you can't afford the insurance then you can't afford the modifications. Or is it another case of breaking the laws ok because its personally inconveinent/expensive.

Surely the extra premium has got to be worth it for the piece of mind? If you have a bad enough accident and the insurance company decides to investigate the car and they find the mods any payout for your injuries or damage to your car that you might be entitled to will dissappear. You'll then find its an entirely different game when people find you were effectivly driving uninsured.

What if you make an innocent and trivial mistake and cause serious injury to a car full of people? How will you repay the £100K plus that it could well be to cover treatment, any loss of earnings and compensate the 3rd parties you have hurt intentionally or otherwise?

You can guarentee the insurance company will have to pursue you to get as much of it back as possible.

How much of a retard do you have to be to think that saving a few quid or even a £1000 is worth that kind of risk. Thats why you have insurance, Just in case!

Or are you such a great driver you will never have an accident?

Chill out mate, i havnt got the parts or anything i was only asking if it would void my insurance or not. I didnt ask for a full blown waffle on how it is wrong to void insurance because i know its wrong and would never do it.

O god what has my thread caused lol.

I only wanted a simple question answering, instead i get the insurance crew massive having a full out brawl with people over stupid things.

I can see this thread filling with people going "Should i declare such and such"

Just been looking on Quinns website and it turns out a lot of mods dont increase my premium such as bodykits, alloys, uprated brakes. An induction kit would cost me an extra £75 however as would a new exhaust system.
