Does Nvidia work better with AMD or Intel?

Please forgive me if it's a stupid question, as I'm still learning the ropes. I'm hoping to get a GTX 260/280/285 and was wondering if they tend to perform better with an AMD or Intel Cpu, or does this not have any relevance.

Any graphics card performs better on a decently clocked Intel rig at the moment, as Intel has the upper hand on CPU speed pretty much across the board.

However, the difference is quite small, because most games these days rely far more on the GPU than the CPU.

The branding has no effect, only how fast the processor is; intel are generally considered better at the moment.
