Does OCUK not do high end custom builds?

Hi all,

I am avid gamer and bought a number of custom Pre Built PC's from an OCUK competitor but after a pretty much guaranteed part failure after a number of years, I bought a high end PC from OCUK a few years back.

Now with the release of the 9800x3d and the upcoming 5090 I am looking to get another PC but looking at the options especially for high end systems the options seem limited or it's a fixed build with no customisation.

OCUK won me over with my last PC with the build quality and great customer service but seem really limited in options for what I want to purchase.

Hi,

If some of the parts you want not covered by the custom configurator - I'm sure if you send a ticket with a basket with the parts you want (that's what I did) - they'll be able to help (I asked for a custom quote due to issues with PCs from other companies and this time it was about £200 more than the cost of the parts without Windows, which is fair with the 3 year warranty)

Pleased to see you've had a good experience with OCUK.

Yeah it does seem the customizer listed above does not offer the AMD 800 chipsets and therefore sub 6000mhz Ram, I also assume the GPU options are limited due to stock and should change when the 5000 series is released?

Definitely send them a web ticket after the new GPU announcement. You can choose any part that is available on the website (and therefore things like CL30 6000Mhz RAM - for example, I specifically wanted GSkill RAM and a BeQuiet PSU, which aren’t and have never been on any of the configurators)

No excuse for 800 series chipset motherboards not being there - they’ve been out a few months!

Getting a bit concerned, as I put together a significantly better and more modern build together from store parts than I could build using their configurator and it was £500-£600 cheaper, I understand there is going to be labour costs and surcharges but considering I am buying the parts from their store front at consumer prices and not from build stock and the parts are better is all cases expect the CPU

I understand absolutely - the configurator prices simply are very high. Mine came to something like £1368 in parts when I initially put it together from the OCUK store and they added about £200 for the build (probably a little more on a higher-end build I would imagine).

Would they build completely custom if all parts were purchased from OCUK store front? Not really impressed with prebuilds and it would be a big pay day for them ;)

Definitely :)- all of my parts were selected from the OCUK product range, rather than it being based off one of the prebuilts
