Does Project Hydra render ASUS Dark Hero Dynamic OC obsolete?

Currently assembling parts for a new build. Got a Dark Hero because I think the dynamic OC (discussed in this derbauer video;

) would have tangible benefits in my use case. However it wasn’t an easy choice as it is a very expensive board.

Project Hydra (discussed in this GN video;

) seems to mirror and improve upon the features of dynamic OC and isn’t tied down to one specific motherboard.

i just wanted to check if my understanding was correct because if so I might downgrade to an aorus or something else to save some money.

Obsolete is an incredibly strong and "all-or-nothing" word, and Project Hydra has only been around a couple of days. You might want to wait for some general testing results and ideally some results from the board's you're considering.

I have read that the person creating this software doesnt have the best reputation and it is possibly unlikely to give the results it is promising.

So I will ask a different question - is dynamic OC on the Dark Hero a good feature or is everything is provides already provided by Curve Optimizer and Precision Boost Overdrive? I was under the impression that for Ryzen, having a high all core clock came at the expensive of single core clock, which was something remedied by Dynamic OC. However, after asking this same question on other forums, i have been told dynamic OC is a gimmick. So I am also contemplating returning the Dark Hero for this reason.
