Does ps4 support installed games vis external hard drive?

Just bought a 1tb thinking it does and cant seem to link them......... Any ideas?

No, cant be used and yes.

Someone sold you a hard drive containing PS4 games? You can only install on the internal HDD and then once it's removed it will get formatted when put back.
