Does Rage have separate DX9/10 clients? Or 32/64-bit?

Right here's the deal, I'm currently on Windows XP-32, and I'm installing Windows 7 64-bit tomorrow. First game I plan to play after 7 is on is Rage, and I thought I might save a bit of time tomorrow and start downloading it today. However, I'm worried that since I'm on XP32, Steam will automatically install the DX9/32-bit edition, so that I'ld need to redownload it anyway tomorrow if I want to play under DX10, am I correct? Or is there only a single client whichever version of DirectX you're running?

I have the retail rage anarchy edition and printed on the back of the dvd case it says ..Enhanced for DirectX 10 - 64-bit - multi core, somewhat misleading i think, lol.

So does mine.

But MSI Afterburner says it's Open GL and not D3D9 when I'm playing and from what I've read the engine is based on Open GL 4.0

It is OpenGL, it just uses some features that are only available on DX10 supporting cards. I presume it's on the box to keep the GFW people happy, and to make sure people have a DX10 card to play.

According to carmack there are no dx 10 features in RAGE and what's the 64-bit all about?. What on earth is that info all about then? :D lol.
