I'm looking at getting some Corsair DDR4 2400/2666 and am looking at ASUS' QVL.

The Corsair RAM specifies a version, but no sellers seem to list the version number.

What to do? Does it matter? Will different versions of the same product still work?

Buy it anyway. I forgot qualified vendor lists even existed tbh. RAM tends to just work - unless it is faulty or in extreme cases.

Some manufactures have whitelisting checks to prevent some RAM from being used.

I recently bought an HP elitebook that had this problem.

That applies to Laptops only, also have certain WIFI cards blacklisted. Had to get a modded Bios for my laptop when changing card.
