Does reseting my 360 to original defaults also delete the 360 live updates?

If I reset the settings does it reset the WHOLE console back to factory default or secretly keep the xbox live updates?

I would guess that it resets the User settings back to default and not the firmware/software updates from LIVE!.

I did a reset and it lost everything.. which i knew it would.. But now I cant play Hexic....

I looked on the arcade and there is only download for themes or somthing along those lines but no game download.. Im pretty miffed at that :mad:

I thought it would just reset the settings but i must have reformatted thats why I got no HExic..

There are 2 resets of sorts if i remember rightly, the one where you enter the serial number is the one which wipes your hdd clean also.

Which did you do?

I believe your updates will remain as they were installed as Firmware.
