It may well fit into the socket, but it probably won't work.
Server ram may well have error correcting code (ECC), which isn't usually compatible with desktop motherboards.

Yeah, but it's pretty hard to find ecc stuff anyway.

Unbuffered, non ECC is what most desktop motherboards use.

Example of specifications from ASUS:
