Installing an aio with case fans, they are currently plugged into case fan headers.

I'm removing my current cooler and fan.

My question is do you need something to be plugged into the cpu header socket for it to boot ?

Got a b450 tomahawk max

If your bios includes cpu fan header detection it'll throw a warning as it tries to boot and stop the process if nothing is connected to that header.

What you can do is purposely boot straight into the bios and have a look around to see if that setting exists and if so, you can disable it if need be.
