Does speed fan give true temps for Q6600 ?

Hi I am just overclocking my Q6600 and I am at 3.1Ghz at the minute at 1.4v with Cpu temps at no higher than 27c with my PC doing nothing.

I am sure I dont have the GO version as I bought it from here a few days a go. I thought my Temps would be around 50c + from reading how hot these things run. At this rate I should be able to get around 3.5Ghz on air :confused:

Does speed fan give true reading with quad cores ?

I believe Speedfan uses the mobo sensor. Download TAT or Coretemp which both use the on-chip sensors.

On my setup speedfan is exactly 15c lower than TAT/Coretemp you can change the config to reflect the difference in speedfan which will then read correctly.
