As in if you buy AMD Phenom, x3800 and the new motherboards does the whole add up to more than the sum of its parts?
That is what the whole spider platform is supposed to be about isn't it?
When reading through posts and recomendations people are going for NVidia/Intel over AMD for specific parts, eg 8800 or 3800, people would go for the 8800 as it is a bit faster. But if it was running with a Phenom and in the 780 motherboard would the 8800 still be faster?
