Does steam accept maestro?

they only accept : VISA , MASTERCARD , American Express , Discover , JCB , Paypal , ClickAndBuy

What a bummer, most places let you use maestro under the 'mastercard' option but obviously not steam.

Someone gift me Sacred Gold and I'll give you the £6 quid for it

I've never needed a credit card to buy anything up until now. Never had a problem with maestro anywhere else.

Maestro is accepted in most places. Odd that Steam accepts Paypal (which accepts Maestro) but won't take Maestro itself.

I had to use Paypal

Maestro cards are the replacement for Switch on debit cards - hardly useless I would say. The limitations on Steam purchases are credit cards rather than debit cards.

Steam accepts debit cards just fine.. I've been using my Visa debit with ti for years.

so i buy my games of steam using Paypal

If anything, a Maestro cars is more of a 'real money' card than a credit card, it takes the funds straight out of your account - if you don't have any money, ya cant use it! Whereas credt cards are just that, credit, not 'real' money.

As to the op question, Steam only accept credit cards, but setting up paypal to use your debit card as a source of funds is really easy. Thats the best option in my opinion if you have no credit card.

Always use PayPal for my Steam purchases as Steam doesn't accept my hardcore Solo debit card.

Steam and Leeds railway station and WHSmith are the only places that won't take it. It's weird.
