Hi wondered if such a device exists.

I have a Yamaha Piano which is some 10 years old and has on it a Floppy disc drive for recording tracks, playing tracks etc.

The newer piano's have USB now.

I was just wondering if there was a adapter that is a floppy disc on one end and a USB socket on the other, allowing me to use a USB thumb drive.

Or is there a bit more to it than this?

Thank you

Yea ther're out there I have one which i bought a while ago for an old rig that never had a floppy disc in it..google USB floppy ;)

You can get units that physically replace a floppy drive and present a USB port you can plug a flash drive into. Try Googling 'floppy to usb emulator'. I've no idea whether this would work in your case.

I think OP wants an actual floppy disk with a USB port on it, not a USB disk drive.

There are USB floppy drive emulators out there. It's a complete replacement of the floppy drive with a USB port. You would have course have to dismantle the Piano to install it.

edit: snap :)

Yes a USB floppy emulator certainly looks to be the thing I am on about.

google seems to being up some things for a just this.

Thanks
